Beto O’ Rourke visited his 254th county on the campaign trail, officially having visited every county in this great state.
“Saturday’s town hall marks the conclusion of an initiative that has defined O’Rourke’s race. He often jabs at Cruz during campaign stops, saying “what did Senator Cruz tell you the last time he was here for a town hall?” [El Paso Times, June 9, 2018]
Texas Democratic Party Chair Gilberto Hinojosa issued the following statement:
From the beginning of his campaign, Beto made a promise to hear from Texans of every corner of this great state. He’s been hard at work for the past year having meaningful conversations about the issues that matter most to Texans, and he’s not done yet.
The momentum and energy around Beto’s campaign is remarkable. It’s clear that Texans want change and they’re willing to fight for it. Beto is within striking distance, and it’s that same energy along with grassroots organizing that will get us across the finish line in November.
